O/K so far.

I have recently purchased this set up. It appears to be rather flimsy at the battery door and will require careful opening and closing if it is to last. I have only used it a few times and it performed vey well. I was able to fire the shutter at about 40 feet with no trouble at all. Time will tell with regard to longevity but it looks good initially. When are we going to get a rechargeable Li Ion battery instead of the present AAA units. If Hahnel can do it so can Yongnuo. It would put up the price no doubt but worth the extra. All in all it seems to be very good value compared to others.

Reasonable price for a usefull tool

I saw these rails at the Photography show at the NEC. I thought them to be well engineered and liked the smooth operation. The central fixing button is a bit awkward and the knobs a bit cheap looking. It would have helped to have a line on the slide holders to align the increments on the slide. I just added my own. A 2 minute job. I decided not to purchase at the NEC as they were asking about £40.00 for them. I bought off line at around £24.00 for exactly the same item. All in all a good buy if you want to have a go at macro or stacking etc. Smokenoily.
