Fast, light and spacious - and a good price!
3 of 3 found this helpful This day-shelter is super fast to take up and to stow - probably 4-5 mins each way with around 3-4 mins of this sorting the pegs. I particularly like the fact that the carry bag is loose fitting and you don't have to worry too much about being neat when folding it away.
It is so light you don't even notice it on your shoulder when carrying it.
I have used it in moderately strong winds and it stands-up well so far. The only thing i added was my own guy rope to the front 'peak' - but that is just me being cautious. - I don't think it is necessary.
When used as a sun-shade - it's a shame it doesn't have some high level zip-close vents. But in any case, the open face means is doesn't get too hot - vents would just have been a nice touch.
It has room for two large blokes to sit side-by-side - and for a reasonable amount of kit to be housed around the edges. If the rain is being blown from the front, I guess your feet could possibly get rained on - but I can't confirm that as I haven't experienced such conditions yet. It's just a guess.
Buying some decent (replacement) pegs are essential since the ones supplied are rubbish. But these replacement pegs only cost a few quid - I went for galvanised 200mm 'wide' ones - they added £8 to the tent cost. Because I read other reviews before I bought, I ordered decent pegs when I ordered the shelter to save waiting - glad I did that. The TFG pegs are in the bin.
I really like this little shelter - it costs half the cost if the 'ubiquitous' one that most (90% of) archers use - The Force 8 is far less bulky - and by the time the people using the alternative have finished stowing theirs........ My little Force8 is already in my boot and I am leaving the venue.
