Bombproof, no worries
Pelican is the name for protective hard cases. This is a great size. Not too big. Thickness allows double stacking for some camera equipment. Strongly suggest getting TrekPak inserts for it though. Much easier than the pick and pluck foam. Saved me 40% of my interior volume on a typical load out. Downside is that they are heavy. The Pelican Air's are quite a bit lighter. But if that's not an issue you can't really beat the value. Cases have a lifetime, famously no-hassle guarantee too, not limited to original purchaser.

Great, quick way to improve your sound.
1 of 1 found this helpful Of the prosumer-level field recorders the DR-60D mkii is a good value. It isn't quite as full-featured as the Zooms, but it is a bit cheaper. If you are thinking this or the DR-70, the boxy form factor is a little problematic. The 70 fits in cages and on-camera better and its got 2 extra xlr connectors as well as built in xy mics. The 60 has very handy analog controls as opposed to the 70's click-thru menus. The legendarily short battery life is true. Count on getting an add-on battery pack to run through the USB, carrying a ton of AA's, or using the optional line power adapter if you are in studio.
