Great server and great value for money
This is one of the best designed servers, or even of any computers, out there. It might be 12 years old but it still performs well and with great redundancy it can still serve as a company server today. I use it as a Home Lab running Unraid and it is perfect for that but I swapped out the PERC 6i controller for a H200 and the great cost of £30! One of the PSUs failed but with PSU redundancy it was a non-event and a new PSU is just £15.
It might be old but if you want a server for a lab or to run a small business then you can't really go wrong with this DELL R710
