One of my favourite books.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book which showcases Nina Georges’ ability to craft absorbing, lyrical, literature. From the first paragraph, I was taken by the hand and pulled in to the theme, the setting, and the characters. I’d originally read it as a library book then invested in my own copy that I can re-read and keep. My husband picked it up and is now enjoying it, commenting on how beautiful the writing is. Another gem from Nina.

It’s okay if you love matcha and can afford to eat rather than drink it.
This little book might merit five stars from anyone seriously into matcha. For me, as a newbie who loves matcha tea, there are few recipes in here that I’ll use (matcha miso aubergine is one). Ceremonial matcha is extremely expensive and adding it to food rather than drinking it appears a tad indulgent during harsh economic times…
