Good for a single small batch of ice cream
I read several reviews prior to purchasing and made sure the one I bought had the large drive assembly (see photo) as it appears the small one is known to break easily. I also made sure when washing the bowl that I allowed it to come to room temperature and washed it by hand as directed. This avoids the top seal around the outer and inner bowls from cracking causing the internal liquid to leak out which many people have experienced. The only disadvantages are the small 1.5 qt. size, needing enough space in the freezer for the bowl and it must freeze overnight (minimum 15 hours) before use. Since the bowl needs to freeze overnight only one small batch of ice cream can be made in a day.
