Cheap and nasty but a good source of parts!
Before I give precise details of why I don't rate this bench just let me say why I bought it. I already had a bench but the slats had rotted so I looked to replace them. Hardwood slats are best but quite expensive so I decided that at £50 I could cannibalise this one and make my old one good, so that's what I've done. I used the slats and the back and used my old bench metal ends to restore my original bench and used stainless steel bolts and screws to prevent rusting.
Now to this bench and why I don't rate it. Firstly the materials are cheap; the metal is thin, the slats are cheap softwood and the supplied bolts and screws will rust in no time at all. The back is plastic and the surround is put together poorly with joints not closed which means water will get in and rot the wood.
The metal ends are made from thin metal and worst of all when constructed and you sit on it you find the seat is too short under your legs with little support under you knees. It feels like a kids bench!
Having said all this it was far cheaper for me to bring my old bench back into use by using the parts from this bench than replacing the slats. I realise it won't last but at least it's usable again. By using this bench as a source of parts I now have a usable bench again, and because my original bench ends were deeper my restored bench is much more comfortable to sit on.

Just the Job!
Why pay more! These radio removal keys are the cheapest I've come across and they do the job they are supposed to do - what more can you ask?

Brilliant Soundcard - beats standard cards hands down!
I needed an internal soundcard with a low latency as my existing one, an Asus, had so much of a delay on it when monitoring it was impossible to play to a backing track without being completely thrown out of time! Setting up the card was easy but the software was a bit more difficult. Although I downloaded the latest drivers it took several attempts of installing them to get the software interface to behave properly. Eventually I succeeded an it's been perfect. The interface can take a bit of getting used to till you find out which sliders control what but once that's sorted it performs faultlessly. I'm using Window 7 and have had no problems running this card. And most importantly of all the sound is a world away from the Asus. If it's music production you're into, get your hands on one of these, you won't regret it.
