Small Glowsticks.
I confess to preferring to fish in the dark. Bass come very close at night and all light sources sap my confidence and probably theirs. These tiny sticks come give me the right light balance. They come with a plastic tube and a small spike per pack of 5. They suit the attentive angler who does not wander. Drop off light levels are quite rapid but are sufficient for 4 hours through a night bass session. I am well suited by them on rod but would use bigger sticks on a float.

Opinel Knives: Rolls Royce performance and Citroen Deux Chevaux looks.
I've shown two No7's. I bought them 50 years apart and they both perform the same for me every day. I think that's a lifetime guarantee right there.
Your Opinel tap knife does just that, twist the collar, tap and the blade drops out for you to twist the collar and lock in place.
The performance of your knife depends on the last picture. Oil here to keep the blade movement smooth and keep the wooden stock swollen. If the handle gets wet and the blade seizes put it on a radiator to shrink back to size. In time the blade will stop opening fully. Again, it's here you need to dig out the gunge that has built up between the handle and the back of the blade.
Keep Carbone blades sharp and oiled as they do rust, blacken and pit in time. This is the price you pay for them having a keener edge than their stainless sisters.
I've found a No8 Carbone swollen open, rusted and the blade tip snapped off at the bottom of a harbour rubbish bin. Dried, shaped, sharpened and oiled it is performing like all my other knives now. So, your knife will forgive a bit of mistreatment. If you want a knife that works for as long as you live get an Opinel.

A good camera, but, you need to be 60 to trust me !
2 of 2 found this helpful Wives are chosen from less than 40 we are told. Cameras do not get that degree of assessment. I looked at none, mine was stolen so I bought the latest model of my last one. If scientific comparison drives you dear reader leave now.
Modern digital cameras are miracles. I cut my teeth on Nikon SLR's I still have them, in the roof for my Panasonic renders all that I have obsolete.
If you can see it the camera will shoot it. If you shake the camera adjusts. If you are fat it will thin you(I joke not). Fireworks, stars at night or a bug on a rug it will do it. Micro/Macro, day/night, Jungle or Ice Flow there is a setting.
I am exploring mine still and I'm 2 cameras in now. I let my children look at it and they switch on features new to me still! How can I help you.
First its all a normal person wants. The software slips on to Windows XP without a hitch. All files go to a Sub-Folder in My Pictures. The camera dates all pictures and for 2 chosen children dates them by age! You can choose up to 3 faces to hold focus on in one picture. Must I go on.
Let us say:
1) Lens excellent.
2) Pixel density gives you crop and enlarge without much degrade in quality.
3) View Display size adequate.
4) Not too many buttons, but all have several functions so there is some initial frustration.
5) Body is an adequate size for male hands. I hate using finger nails on phone buttons. It makes me feel like an elephant in a tutu.
6) Battery lasts for days on holiday and the UK adapter is easily stored.
If I had a warning it would be to buy a case on day 1.
The iris does not like closing if a grain of sand, speck of dust or eye lash has found its way there and that lovely viewing screen has a surface as soft and vulnerable as a baby's bum. Scratch that viewing screen and it will remind you of it every time you take a picture from that moment on.
Lenses collect light. The quantity of light to trip a digital sensor is less than that needed to convert chemicals so lenses are smaller, easier to pour without air bubbles and to grind in true curves. Leica is a name I trust and the Vario-Elmar on this model gives 12X optical zoom and levels of performance impossible in the days of film emulsions and huge light gathering SLR lenses.
Frankly my hands, humidity and heat shimmer make this camera as capable as our planet of rendering true images. Buy better if the Moon is your next stop.
It shoots movies and exectues groups of shots I still need to do this!
The Instructions slip toward the visual but enough words survive for the older literate persons amongst you. However, as with all languages a little knowledge of the concepts referred to by the words helps.
In summary, I am happy and increasingly amazed by technology. The flaws are in the robustness of materials and the intelligence of the user. This summarises the camera and our last 250,000 years.
