Better than some more expensive options

For the money, a good unit. Metal faceplate, easy to operate, and it's six disc, not 5. The performance is improved by inclusion of an outboard d/a converter (I use a Marantz DAC). Originally ordered a Yamaha piece, but returned (shoddy build, less feature options & cost twice as much) & replaced with this Onkyo. Recommended.

Good now, better before.

I bought a few pairs 2 years ago. Nice fit, light fabric weight (good), good stitching work, all fine. The 2 pairs bought recently were of the same build quality but were twice as wide in the leg as the previous purchase, making for a bit of a 'clown pants' look to them. These I wear at home only.

Not your grandpa's Mullards. And that's ok.

While they are not the NOS Mullards from days gone by, they are an excellent substitute, and when you are re-tubing a PrimaLuna HP Integrated these reissues will save you a small fortune. Very minimal tube noise emanates from your speakers and the dimensional background of the soundstage is well realized. Very happy with the results. Update: tubes have broken since I wrote this review. Dead quiet tubes with a huge black background. Very happy music enthusiast here.
