Goldsource STU 300 W Watt Step Up Down 110V 220V Voltage Converter Transformer

Solid voltage converter, but it smells

The STU 300 voltage converter is solidly built and performs as advertised. This a much better converter than those sold for travelers. The downside is that when it comes out of the box it has an unacceptable level of solvent smell. I left it in the hot sun to outgas for several days and it was much improved, but still noticeable. It is now fine for use in a shop, but not in a living room, and I will still store it in a shed (don't live with your chemicals). Eventually I expect it to get better.
