Excellent, powerful, flash unit. Remote facility obviates need for additional receiver triggers. Very quick recycling with nizn batteries and they have not fried the works. Like the 'ready' buzzer. Only niggle is remembering to set zoom to auto when changing to off camera use. Outdoor user, so have little requirement for optical remote. Controller could usefully have spring type lock to minimize inadverdant settings on adjustment wheel, (press to engage), I use tape. There seems to be a tendency of all units not to lock securely in to flash shoes (I over tighten, without damage). At the price, have seen nothing competitive.

Good flash with some limitations.
Powerful,quick recycling,well made flash unit. TTL not required as is used with older lenses. Viewfinder ready light not available with some cameras, a strange omission I think Nikon could have avoided,(Metz manage, why not the original?).
