Renaissance Medieval Solid Brass Strap Buckle

Quality

Unlike some similar products, these are 100% brass. I like to antique them by repeatedly heating them with a blowtorch to burn off the shellac, treating them with a blackening solution, and then buffing them with fine steel wool. I use them for a lot of stuff and I don't care for the "bright" brass finish they have when brand new.

Good buy for fans

For anyone who's a fan of his work, I'd say this book is a must read. It doesn't have as much of artwork in it as I'd have liked but that's why I bought one of his sketchbooks and a couple of graphic novels as well. This one's more of a long interview with him, where his career is discussed in depth. There are some full color plates, pieces of storyboards he's done, sketches, and pages from some of the comics he's worked on. I read it cover to cover the day it came in the mail. Very good read.
