In 2000, the shop relocated to South Ealing, also in West London. Although business was good, I decided (because of my age) to retire and closed the shop in June 2024. Sounds Original built a reputation for records in top condition. In addition to selling the usual mainstream releases, we offered genres like Film Soundtracks, Theatre Casts, Country & Western, Comedy, Personalities, Trad Jazz, and Classical. We were also known for our large stock of original memorabilia from the 1950s and ’60s, including Record Papers, Music Sheets, Pop Programmes/Handbills, Record Dealer Publicity Flyers, and other unusual, hard-to-find items.
