Decent fit, bit of a funny-looking thing though...
2 of 2 found this helpful Bought this whilst trying to avoid getting, in my opinion, ripped off to the tune of the best part of £100 for a replacement round seat made by Ideal Standard for their space-saving corner toilet...
This one fitted OK, and reasonably quickly, with only a couple of minutes of fiddling around with the fittings to get it aligned properly. The mechanism is all enclosed, so less vulnerable to corrosion on the hinges, which is what did for our original after 10 years. Replacement hinge pack was something like a colossal £35, so it made sense to give this alternative a shot at £55 quid for the whole caboodle. Which is still a heck of a lot for a plastic toilet seat, mind - but there's limited options out there so it is very much a sellers' market.
It's a slower-closer, which is nice if you go for that sort of thing.
The only thing I could knock it for is how it looks. The lid itself is crazy deep - around a couple of inches. Don't really see why it needs to be. Looks a bit like a hamburger when it is shut, with the seat being the meat in the middle. Does it matter? Not so much as saving £50 to me I guess, but it isn't as dainty a looking thing as the original for any of you who that might bother. If the original's a Yorkshire terrier, this one's a Staffy...

Great all-round value
Whereas most portable DVD players seem to offer a couple of hours' worth of battery life, this one offers a whopping 5 hours. And, as the main purpose of this purchase is to keep a couple of kids entertained at an airport and through a flight then that was a massively important factor for us.
Screen display is also good, and the unit is small and light. Twin headphone sockets is a bonus too.
The one downside is that the built-in speakers aren't fantastic - but then if you're going to be using this unit in an environment with background noise you're probably going to be on headphones anyway.
We picked this unit up for under £100, which seems like really good value. It replaces a Fuss (no, I'd never heard of them either) unit we picked up from Toys R Us 3 or 4 years ago for £70 or so which only had a couple of hours battery life and ended up only switching itself on when it felt like it. But then top brand 7 inch units were closer to £200 than £100 back then and it didn't make sense to lay out too much on something which only gets used a few times a year when we're away.
Anyway, in summary, highly recommended.

Great value for a tenner
Was looking for a decent size cool bag in rucksack style for the beach this summer, and this has done the job perfectly... even if it had fallen apart after the fortnight I’d have been happy enough for a tenner, but there seem to be plenty more miles in it. Far easier to carry than traditional hard cool boxes. Well insulated, keeps content very cool if zipped up properly.
