Epson r2880
2 of 2 found this helpful At first i was a sceptic of photo injets, however going to the SWPP Hammersmith this year i was pleasntly surprised with the print quality of the R2880 at one of the stalls.
I attached a continuous ink system and made many a3 printouts with multiple prints on each one. As i've found out it's night impossible to find normal 9x6 paper and so have had to resort to positioing 3 9x6 on an A3. With the CIS many of the print came out crisp and punchy especially on the photo gloss paper. I made a total of around 20 A3 in one sitting for a wedding album.
On the whole the printer coped well, however there were a few where the shadows had a spotted effect with some faces appearing very flat. Why this occurs i'm not entirely sure and have read up. It may be due to third party inks or that it generally struggles in the shadows i'm not sure!
The printer is a marvel with lab quality prints, howver the plethora of options in the driver can be overwhelming and requires tweaking for different types of shots, the options are not intuitive. For example photo enhance feature was found to remedy many shots of people which previously appeared flat.

Colour noticeably different to regular white
1 of 1 found this helpful Just be prepared that although the recycled credentials are undoubtable, be prepared for the colour to be noticeably darker than regular white. It does also feel a bit less weighty than 80gsm, with wrinkles and moisture absorption being very apparent.
Good for general stuff to be printed at home but definitely not for the office.
