A brilliant epistolary novel of successive suicide letters, each one more mordantly honest than the previous. One of my favorite novels of all time.

This is an overlooked masterpiece and is grossly overdue for reprinting. I have bought at least a dozen copies and they're in short supply. Max Handley died at 45 years of age, depriving us of a great author. His writing showed a maturity far beyond his years, this captivating novel written when he was a mere 25 years old. I've never read anything quite like it.
