Don’t waste time on a cheaper alternative, buy this one!
Initially I purchased a cheaper generic version of this filter at half the price and despite endless flushing I continued to get black bits in my water & ice.
Decided enough was enough and purchased this genuine LG filter, initially when I flushed through I got some black cloudy water but that soon clears and no more black bits in water & ice.
Don’t waste time buying a cheaper filter, this one is still reasonably priced and works great!

Check And Double Check Polarities !!
Good replacement to get our bathroom LED heated mirror back working again but be warned the positive and negative on the switch terminal side might be the other way round to the one you are replacing! I thought I was doing right by taking a photo of the old one in situ but then found out the hard way when turning power on to new switch - pop it blew, meaning I had to purchase another one but all fine second time around.
