Barska 20x32 Lucid View Binoculars w/ Case, AB10670
    28 Mar, 2018
POWERFUL magnification, 20x is NOT to be underestimated!
I bought this Barska 20x32 Lucid View to replace my Tasco binoculars that I lost while working. My Tasco was a small, inexpensive model, and I had limited knowledge able binoculars, but it served me well while I had it. I believe our was a 10x24 model (possibly less), if I remember correctly. I did a little research prior to ordering this Barska 20x32 model. Barska was the only company that produces the 20x binoculars in its class. It's affordable and had better magnification than my old Tasco. I liked its design, too. I didn't know what the difference between the 16x and 20x would've been, so I chose the stronger magnification, expecting it to be the "better" of the 2. I bought it directly from Barska. The shipping was incredibly fast! The box was well packed and the contents of the package were well protected. The actual box contained the binocular with neck strap pre-installed, lens cleaning cloth in a plastic bag, and a nylon case (interior with soft polyester lining) with a belt strap. The size of the folded unit is a little smaller than a medium sized adult male's hand. The case is a little longer, providing ample space for the binoculars. Right out of the box, the binocular is not easy to test inside the house because tve magnification is too great. Once outside, with a little adjusting, I was able to read my neighbor's vehicle plate across the park, about 1800ft away from where I was standing. You must remember to adjust the diopter (right eye cup) along with or before adjusting the center dial, otherwise the sight will stay blurry or you'll see double images. Those who left the 1-star negative reviews probably never bothered with the manual and/or tried to see something too close of distance than this model was intended. 20x magnification shouldn't be underestimated. This thing is powerful for its size! However, NOT everything about this binoculars is the best. Fine focusing takes moments to get used to. Shaky hands will yield shaky images due to small field of view. Due to its objective lens being only 32mm, the clarity is not the best. I can see the stuff 2000ft away but still can't read small lettering on the signs. Also, the field of view is limited to only 7.5 degrees or so (I forgot where I read this but it was less than 8 degrees), which means your sight (picture) will not be as wide as your normal eyes' view. BUT I'm still giving this binocular a 5-star rating and would recommend to others because these "flaws" were something I was already expecting, as it's a compact binoculars around $30. Affordability, portability, and design is fairly important to me. If you're looking for the best clarity and magnification, go look for a bulky, full sized binoculars above $200! Do yourself a favor and do some research before buying ANYTHING. I'm omitting photos as the unit looks exactly like the stock photo.

The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes: A Calvin and Hobbes Treasury BILL WATTERSON
    30 Jul, 2018
    Classic!
What can I say? Calvin and Hobbes is a MUST for all cartoon lovers! This timeless cartoon from the 80s-90s is still one of my favorite! I couldn't resist and buy the hard-cover copy when I found out about it! It was difficult to find a new book as most were either pre-owned or overpriced but you can get just as lucky as I was. Don't forget to greet yourself the Essential and the Authoritative! The 3 will pretty much complete the entire series.
Portable Waterproof XHP50 LED Flashlight Telescopic Zoomable Camping Lamp WT7n
    17 Feb, 2019
    Inexpensive but very bright
I had the flashlight for a few weeks now. Perhaps, not long enough to review it but this is what I found out so far. This flashlight is well constructed and heavy, and most importantly, very bright. It uses the real XHP50 LED, which produces up to approximately 2500 lumens (as per official CREE site). At least, my seller didn't claim a ridiculous 50-million lumens like some vendors do. Yes, this item is an unbranded, so-called "knockoff". However, not all name-brand products are good and not all knockoffs are bad. Believe or not, I've had plenty knockoffs outlasting name-brand items. Face it... most of your name brand items are MADE IN CHINA, after all. A surprise of the century, isn't it? Anyways, so I'll put my faith into it, as I'm having a good experience with it so far. Pros 1. Very bright, real XHP50 LED 2. Can be lit with 3 AAA batteries if you don't have the 18650 batteries readily available. Batteries NOT included but the AAA battery adapter is included. 3. Only uses 1 18650 battery, so it's not TOO long. 4. Can be recharged directly onto the flashlight with a micro USB (haven't tried) 5. LED battery indicator is a plus! 6. Inexpensive. Cons 1. Despite using only 1 18650 battery (or 3 AAA batteries with adapter) is quite bulky. Not exactly a con but it's not as portable as you might expect. 2. The side switch isn't really tactical. An optional tail-cap switch would've been nicer. 3. The flashlight turns on with a single click but CANNOT be shut off with a single click! What!? It must be cycled through the max - medium - low - SOS - strobe - then finally off. Yeah 5 clicks only to turn it off. Major tactical failure and the biggest con, methinks. Even with the cons, I still like the flashlight for its brightness. I use it as a backup/emergency so the cons don't interfere with the likeability. I did drop a star because of the cons, though. As far as the durability goes, I "unintentionally" dropped it a several times on hard surfaces at waist-height but still functions well. As a backup light, I don't foresee using this flashlight too often but I'll update my review if I see something different. Omitting pictures as it looks exactly like the stock photo.
