Panasonic camcorder remote

STILL AN INCREDIBLE CAMCORDER
1 of 1 found this helpful For a camcorder nearly ten years old this is still incredible.
So the big gripe used to be the infamous .tod file format, that is not an issue now since all editing apps play nicely with it.
There are physically smaller devices and phones now but the ergonomics of the GZ-HD7 suit me, it's quality metal body construction, accessible functions, minimal menu diving, superb lens quality, etc all stack up well against contemporary tiny cheap plastic devices.
The manual control - essential. Use with follow focus, focus assist, and zebra stripes - awesome.
Audio quality is excellent for 3.5mm stereo AGC external input, with audio levels displayed. The internal mics give superb sound quality but are by definition 'on-camera' so preferably connect ext mic(s).
XLR (+ phantom power) is not on the HD7 but I use a Zoom recorder anyway.
Articulted LCD is wonderful, accurate, and all you need but the HD7 sends a clean HDMI signal out so FULL HD monitoring is possible or monitor via Component or AV out - all work superbly. I monitor the AV output whilst live streaming via the full size HDMI output.
USB to manage and exchange files.
Excellent battery life.
Cold shoe for mic/light etc. Lens cover built-in.
Remote controllable with included controller, plus JVC strap, manual, USB, HDMI, AV, and Component cables, battery, hood, DC adapter, and software CD..
