The Nikon 50mm 1.4G is a fabulously sharp lens, great photos. Everytime.
The 1.4 50mm is a must for any photographer's kit bag. The 1.4G is a fabulously sharp lens, delivering stunningly sharp photos everytime. In comparison to the 1.4D they are very close but the 1.4G wins out when compared at corner sharpness and quieter focusing. Very highly recommended.

AN EXAMPLE EXCELLENT LENS THAT COVERS VIRTUALLY ALL SITUATIONS. VR WORKS WELL AND THE IMAGES ARE CRISP THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE RANGE. WORKS WELL IN CONJUCTION WHEN BACKED UP BY A 35MM F1.8 AND A WIDE ANGLE
