Excellent entry level lens
These lens's are affordable now Pentax has produced a full frame DSLR - they are perfect for the non full frame DSLR's - this lens is light and gives good images - you will need to spend a lot more to get better.

Low cost with excellent quality.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is the budget Pentax offering - it is considerably cheaper than their top of the range prime lenses but sacrifices very little in the way of quality but at a fraction of the price. Only reason for the four stars is that it is not exactly as good as a lens £200 or more expensive. I have found it to be excellent in producing portrait type pictures with a narrow depth of field. It remains to be seen how long this plastic lens body lasts.
