Guardians of Ga'hoole: The Capture
I decided that I wanted to read the book when I had watched the fantastic animated movie made by the same director as 300 and Sucker Punch (Zack Snyder) and it is one of the most well made and astonishing movies I've ever seen!
Now I have read the first book and I understand what made him want to make the movie in the first place! This is a book that hasen't been released in Sweden, or at least not been translated to Swedish. I think it is a shame that it hasn't got the attention it deserves, because it truly is a very touching and profound book about how higher power uses mind controlling MK-ULTRA-style to get people to do as they say to receive power.
You feel so much compassion and love for the main characters!
That a book about owls can go so deep and make you think about such important and unsettling topics is amazing. It is written in such a way that I haven't been able to put the book down. Now I've bought all 16's of the books. I am very eager to read the rest of the story!
Karthryn Lasky is a true author and I am going to read many of her book-series!
