Great deal for small projects

The last small soldering station I bought several years ago was not very good and never worked well after the first couple of uses. I was pleasantly surprised at this $30 unit. As the other review noted, the digital display is very handy. It heats quickly and the tip is a good size for small work such as on fine gauge wire (22 gauge) being attached to pins on a microcomputer. It appears to be a quality product, and the iron is replaceable- something my last station did not have. So far I've used it over a half dozen times and it works perfectly. I'd recommend this for anyone needing a small iron for fine detail work.

Great battery charger/analyzer

After reading & watching reviews I bought this to handle some Ni-MH AA batteries for now. I like that it will handle these as well as other LI-Ion ones I may buy in the future. The item came as described and a day early, and I tested it the same day it arrived. It took about 12 hours to test and charge (charge/discharge/recharge) 4x old AA 1300 mAH Energizer batteries. Using the 300 mAH settings, it charged them to over 1400 mAh. The charger that came with them was outdated and a safety hazard. I also used the Opus to charge some higher-capacity AA batteries using the default 500 mAh settings and it performed similarly. The unit came in a box with the brand name on it, complete with AC adapter and manual. This unit is a great value and does so much more than just charging.

It really does fit and charge on an R1200RT LC

Bought this to adapt a small tablet to my R1200RT LC. I was worried it would not charge, but when I took it apart there was indeed a charge coil inside. It puts out around 500ma according to my battery status app. I can start around 50% and get to the desired 80% in about 30 minutes- this with the tablet screen on and navigation and Bluetooth music programs running. It snaps in as it should and I've had no issues with the mounting portion. I did replace the back plate so I could run the tablet.This had no effect on the wireless charging. Don't let the low price fool you, it does what it is supposed to do.
