Interesting take on the classic Grand Diver
This is the quarts version of the Grand Diver so actually sits better on the wrist and, despite it's size, feels quite comfortable.
The sunburst blue dial looks stunning and is continued onto the unidirectional rotating bezel.
The screw down crown is protected by a fold over guard which is a nice touch and a bit more unusual than the ones you find on the Subaquas.
This being a Grand Diver, you get the upgraded strap which is a little chunkier than that of the Pro Diver, it is 22mm wide at the lugs, has solid end links (amazing for the price), and a much more solid folding clasp.
You would be impressed with this watch if you had paid £200 for it.

Second Noma IV.
This is the second Invicta Subaqua Noma IV I have bought, this time with the blue colour scheme. I have it with the bronze bezel and liked it so much I couldn't resist the temptation to grab another when I saw it at such a good price.
It is modestly sized as far as Invictas go at 45mm wide but it is quite thick at 20mm. The strap is very substantial, making the watch quite a weighty thing that will either make you appreciate the quality of the timepiece you are wearing or will make your arm ache after a while! The blue face (with intricate detailing) and bezel are stunning, I had to put it back in the box because I just kept staring at it! The screw down crown and function pushers make you believe the 500m WR rating and the protective catch over the crown is a nice touch. The stopwatch works well with the dials adding to the design of the face. There is a unidirectional rotating bezel that would potentially be useful if you actually intend to dive with it, I don't plan on getting mine wet to be honest as it is far too nice, I have a cheap G-Shock for that which I don't mind scratching.
Some of the biggest Invictas are a little over-bearing and in my opinion are not the most comfortable on the wrist but I find this one very comfortable and the way the strap blends into the casing seamlessly adds to that, the smooth lines make it one of the best looking Invictas (best looking watches in my opinion) you can get hold of.
The extra detail on the strap is a nice touch and the clasp has a substance missing from the cheaper Pro Divers with the thicker metal alleviating any fears it might come undone.
Invicta get some stick because of their inflated RRPs and the poor quality of some of their cheapest watches, but their higher end stuff (of which I include this) really is quite good and is certainly excellent value for money.
Since I now have two of these watches you can probably guess that I would definitely recommend getting one but try to hold out for a good deal on eBay, I bought my first one for about £140 including shipping and duty from the states and was more than happy with it at that price, my second was about £85 second hand from a UK seller and is in excellent condition so that is even better.
I have about 15 Invicta watches and the collection all started with the Noma IV so buy it, but beware, you might get addicted!

Fantastic quality for the money. Better build quality than equivalent Seikos (in my opinion!)
If you're considering this watch it is because you want an easy to read field type watch that looks great, feels great, and has build quality and movement you can rely on. This Citizen ticks all those boxes.
Pros: perfect size, large enough dial to be super legible but relatively short lug to lug length so fits snuggly. White Dial looks almost cream and has almost a reflective appearance in certain lights. Unusual grey lume on hands and numerals looks great against the white of the dial. Eco Drive movement means you never need to change the battery. Build quality is excellent as you would expect from Citizen, nicely finished case, little touches like bevelled edge around the date window. It's a strap monster so will look great on almost anything you put on it.
Cons: the only thing I can think of is that I'm not a massive fan of the greenish canvass strap it comes on, but that is insignificant since I usually change the strap anyway and have put it on a lovely brown leather rally strap. Some might think it would benefit from more features, e.g. Chronograph etc, but that would take away from the main function if this watch which is to be super legible.
