TYPICAL JAPANSE QUALITY
Like most Japanese machined items the metal, workmanship and finish coating appear to be of the highest quality. If you factor in free shipping from Japan it's a good or reasonable deal on an item that is not available locally or even in North America from what I could see. I bought this to replace the poor quality bits that came with an impact driver that came with a impact socket set and am pleased with them. The only reason I haven't given them five stars is that I havent had them long enough to determine their resistance to corrosion.

THE BEST CLEANING UPRIGHT
1 of 1 found this helpful Update July 2021 I still have this machine and although it's duty cycle has been reduced to 1300 sq ft weekly it is used by a teenager that bashes it into most eveything and has yet to have an issue.
I have had several of these (different model #s) over the last 15 yrs. They are the best cleaning upright according to CR tests and I would agree. Mine have lasted an avg. of 5 yrs. under some tough conditions in a full house. You should order the longer 25' extension hose or you won't be able to reach much of anything with the hand tools. The Pet hair brush tends to get hair/thread etc. caught in the bearing surfaces and eventually it will stop working. You usually can just unscrew the bottom cover, remove the beater and pull it all out; synthetic hair is much more difficult. Be careful when you are vacuuming with it as the self-propelled feature tends to cause more collisions and damage to your baseboards, furniture etc. I would encourage the use of the allergen bags as they really keep the dust/dirt in the bag where it belongs. You can find them online for much less then Brick and Mortar stores in my experience. I have bought the Hoover and other brands with good results.

DOESN'T HAVE CORDLESS BATTERY POWER OR FRENCH INSTRUCTIONS
This is a old basic trimmer lacking good ergonomics but it is not mean to be used all day like a pro model would.
As this is a US model as well the instructions are in English and Spanish and do not appear to be available in French on the Wahl international site.
