Great Combo
Very easy to install, this First Alert combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm 2-pack is an excellent value. A low-profile, easy to understand unit, did not need the instructions to install. The tests, including the "call backs" to the other alarms worked flawlessly. The alarms replaced 15 year old alarms of another brand that had not been working for around five years, which were the voice annunciating type, and had several false alarms over the years that they were working. Surprisingly the included battery was the newest DuraCell brand. A good philosophy - keep it simple!

Excellent Quality
Not only do these LED bulbs conform to all of the listed specs they are also rated at 93 CRI, which may not have been emphasized in the online product description but is printed on the box. 93 CRI is an exceptionally high rating and very important where color distortion is not acceptable. These bulbs are excellent quality, the 3000 Kelvin color temperature is just a shade brighter than an equivalent incandescent bulb and there is no subtle color hue (greenish cast) typically associated with LED bulbs. The 40-watt equivalent incandescent rating is precise. As for the 45,000 hour bulb life it is way too early to rate that aspect but with an iron-clad no nonsense 5-year warranty from an American manufacturer that has proven they stand behind their product (learned from reviews) that is not a concern.
