Typical Dewalt quality

The vacuum is a good compromise between compact portability and capacity, which I need for my woodshop. The suction is strong enough to remove wood chips from crevices of woodworking machines, reducing the need to drag my full sized vacuum around my crowded shop. The unit is very well made, and it is easy to empty and to deploy the short hose for small spaces. My only criticism is that the exhaust ports are on the sided and blow outwards. Thus in some orientations the airflow is directed at the very debris that you’re trying to remove, moving it away from the vacuum nozzle. The design should be modified to direct the exhaust upwards
