About
I'm a private eBayer with a 'proper job' who uses eBay as a way of getting a few quid for good quality, well looked after stuff I've acquired over the years and not as a way of making a profit...so you should find that you're going to get a bargain!

Ceiling bike hanger
2 of 2 found this helpful Great idea for saving space and storage for a bike. Make sure you get it fixed to some joists otherwise you'll be pulling down the ceiling! The only irritation is that the supplied cord is quite thin. Yes, it supports the bike fine, but it slips too easily out of the pulleys especially as there is quite a gap between the pulley and its casing. You then find yourself straining to haul your bike up using the cord running roughly over the rod the pulley runs on.
It works but you have to be careful.

Flimsy and over priced
The plastic panels and lid are much more flimsy than the photos suggest and so are not easy to line up and fit together. The corner clips which hold the panels together are quite hard/stiff to slide into place and would be a real challenge for anyone with even minor physical limitations in their hands- it was too easy to pinch/cut yourself trying to fit these. The instructions were poor quality photos with no hints on simplifying this process. The lid is equally 'floppy' and the catch doesn't lock effectively, again due to the excessive 'give' in the plastic.
It's ok once constructed and I suspect that as it fills will feel more stable/wind resistant but before then I've weighed the base down with some old rocks.
I would have been less bothered if it was priced accordingly.
