Good old fashioned basic cookery book

I bought this cookery book for my daughter to take to university with her, It is a copy of the cookery book I bought myself when I left home to study. I still have that copy, it's my go to book. It gives you the basics, e.g. how to boil an egg, how to cook potatoes, as well as giving you main meal recipes. It covers all the usual sections, starters, soups, meat, poultry, baking etc as well as sections on jams,chutneys and home freezing. It explains cookery terms such as baking blind, creaming etc. It as a good old fashioned, explain everything. basic cookery book with easy to follow instructions. My daughter is very pleased with it and tells me it the the first and only cookery book you will need.
