A job for lockdown!

I have had a border fork with a broken handle for 8 years, but never had the time to mend it. With the lockdown, I gave myself the task of replacing it. It was too long for the border fork so I drilled out the handle fixings, removedthe handle , cut the shaft smaller. I then whittled the shaft down to the right diameter and drilled for a bolt. I then shaved the shaft and sanded it to fit the fork and bolted that. I would imagine the wood is a Chinese equivalent of ash. It is dense carves and sands well. There was a single woodworm hole but I’m sure that won’t affect its strength.
