Doesn’t work even when website said it would
3 of 8 found this helpful This thermostat relies on your furnace to power it. That being said, if you don’t have a brand new heater it will cause problems. After purchasing I read numerous reviews of people having the same problems. A loud buzzing noise coming from electrical on furnace. Was told by a tech that it needed a common wire, but when asked him if that extra power source being on the same circuit would cause problems with my heater he said not to. We went through the whole nest website first to make sure that it was compatible and they said it was, in reality it was not. Do your research first, once you open the box it’s yours
