Small is beautiful and smart with it.
It's a very smart little box, provided with clear instructions on how to set it up. Knows what time it is without even having to be asked. Half the size of the (more expensive) item it replaced, with more than adequate sound quality. The DAB signal round here is a bit rubbish whatever equipment you are using, but FM reception is excellent.
Icing on the cake: it arrived a day earlier than promised!

Cute cats trying to kid you they can read
There is something innately amusing about cats, whose expressions can make them appear studious and wise, sitting on bookshelves as though they are remotely capable of understanding what a book is. The photos in this diary are consistently well posed and vividly printed. And of course cute.
The diary itself is of good quality and meets all requirements. One small niggle is that the space for weekend appointments is smaller than for weekdays, which assumes that all purchasers are busy Monday - Friday and take it easy Saturday and Sunday. Some of us are retired, so this does not apply!

A precious antidote to the Alpha course
I came across this in a library and found it talked so much sense I had to buy my own copy. Badham, like the best academics, knows how to write clearly for those who may never have opened a Greek Testament (I did but it was a long time ago.) An antidote for the reactionary theology peddled by Alpha, Vineyard churches, Tom Wright and the like, using the insights of the "Modernists" (who were SO 1930's) to illuminate our thinking today.
