A Must Have for Fifty Plus Years
Everyone 55 plus needs this information.
I am disappointed in my family physicians for not suggesting resistance training. The only advice the medical people say is get 150 minutes of aerobics a week. (Heck, I get that taking the bus and at the supermarket.)
My grandmother broke her hip in her sixties, back in the mid 1970's. After that, she was confined to a nursing home.
We start to lose muscle, around thirty, if I am not mistaken. Don't worry ladies and gentlemen, you will never get bulked up unless you train really, really, really hard.
After a ministroke @ age fifty eight in 2013, I started with 5# single curls. Now I am using 40# single curls. This is plenty for staying strong.
Some say, swimming is the best exercise. No resistance in the water.
Gravity is my best friend now. Walking up steps is supported by leg muscles.
I can't promote this book enough.
