A great water cooler

Just a decent camera system
I bought this and five other cameras to view my house in Florida from my second home in New Jersey. What a mistake!!!!!!
The cameras are generally not to bad but the batteries never last more than s month or two at best. The “Night Vision” is absolutely the worst! If you don’t install motion sensor lights as a back up, forget any ability to identify anything!
The worst part is that the cameras motion sensor doesn’t activate until five to ten seconds after there is movement. Then the camera doesn’t begin recording for another five seconds if the camera is activated at all.
The Arlo Pro is advertised to be audio/video but if you aren’t six inches from the camera (if it works at all) with complete silence, you’ll never hear anything coming from the microscopic speaker.
As a Ret. Police Sgt. these cameras would never be of value to identify anyone or anything unless it was directly in from of the lens and stood still for at least ten seconds for the camera to begin recording.
