Good jazz sound on Atrstar 153
The bottom 3 strings that came with the guitar sounded "tinny". The pickups are rather "bright" for jazz. I replaced with flat wound and that helped. By boosting the bass and attenuating the treble I got a more balanced mellow jazz sound. I had to tighten the keyboard nut a half turn so that I could get the clearance at the octave down to 0.035". The guitar is now playable and I've enjoyed my last 2 gigs with it. It's really, really pretty. Cheers, Steve.
