Binatone Trek 100 Walkie Talkie
1 of 1 found this helpful We bought another set so we had some extra radios and spares for the ones we already have.
Positive points are that they are very powerful and seem to be better than the small cheap ones. We use them odten in the Apls and easily have a range of 2-4 kilometres, even with the mountains in the way. The baterry is quite good and lasts most of the day, with quite a bit of chatter. These can be recharged, so this saves on buying batteries.
Negative points are that teh buttons on the front can be easily pushed by other things in your pocket. So sometimes this means they change channels or switch off. It is not a big problem, and as you can read we have bought more of them. One person suggested we tried them with ordinary batteries instead of rechargeable ones, as the voltage may be slightly higher and thus improve the range further. We have not tried this yet, but will next time they are in use.
Overall they work very well and we are pleased with them. Excellent for any occasion where the family is split up abit and communication is needed. Great for skiing, hiking, caravan holidays, even for kids playing at being explorers or soldiers etc.

Great starter set and good value
Great product. You do need the adaptors with this set to squeeze the rivets into place, so if you are starting out this is a great set.

Great dual feature
Excellent product, especially with its dual function of head torch and bike torch. It is a little heavy on your forehead, but most are, however the head band makes it very stable.
