If you're going to buy, read this.
These mats are great for hiding the damage to the carpet on the raised section in the footwell of the S2000. This area always gets worn when getting in and out, so these mats cover any wear already there and protect against any more happening. However.. In the instructions it tells you to cut the carpet to get access to small holes where a screw plug can push fit in to allow you to fit the brackets that hold the mats in place and also holds the two mats together. These "plug" holes were not there in the passenger side of my car. In fact there were much larger factory made holes. So, a word of warning, if you are going to cut the carpet, instead of doing as the instructions say and make 2 large flaps, what I would suggest is this.. position the mats and brackets, you will then be able to tell exactly where these alleged holes to take the plug are.. Then, instead of cutting 2 large flaps, cut a small t shape or cross over where the hole should be. Maybe an inch each cut. This will allow you to see if the correct hole is there before you cut large flaps unnecessarily in your carpet. They were there on my driver side, but not on the passenger side. So I just fitted them without screwing the brackets down. The only other slight disappointment was that the carpet is a completely different pile to the carpet in the car. To be fair it seems much more hard wearing, so it's a double edged sword.. But for £170 I think hard wearing is probably more what you want. Other than that, these mats are great quality and despite being 4 times more than the most expensive mats I ever bough prior to these, I am very happy due to the fact that they hide what was an unsightly mess on the raised areas. Quality gone downhill
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this double version of the Michelin foot pump after years of use of the single pump version. There were a few annoying things on that one also, like the plastic retaining plugs that snap off as soon as they get under your foot while in operation. ie the first time you use it.. But I could live with that because what it was meant to do it did well.. This double cylinder foot pump is a real step down in quality over the single one I bought 12 years ago. The screw connector is garbage. It lets air out of the tyre valve as you attach and obviously also while you are fumbling with it to get it off again. What was wrong with the lever lock on mechanism?.. Probably price.. Because by the look of the shoddy way the rubber foot plate cover attaches (or doesn't as is the case with mine) Michelin have cut costs everywhere they can.. Even the gauge is a mile out where my ild one was spot on.. I hate it when a manufacturer of a top quality, reliable product cuts costs to the point of ruining their product, but expect to get by on past reputation. Well you got away with it this time Michelin, but I will never buy another.

Expected to be sturdier
0 of 1 found this helpful The use of the word "professional" is used a lot to give products the impression of being something of high quality. I'm not convinced that in this case the word was used correctly. The chrome is ok and they seem to be manufactured ok too, but the walls of the sockets seem a bit too thin for my liking and the rail they come on is about as cheaply made as you could possibly go while still leaving it just about functional. So to make a big deal about the sockets coming on a rail is a joke really because it won't last 5 minutes. I really did expect them to be better. I'm giving them 3 out of 5 because they are perfectly functional, but I personally don't believe them to be of professional quality.
