Terrific read!
Lonesome Dove is a great story. The characters are true-to-life. There’s lots of adventure, excitement, humor, action. It’s a page-turner that stays with you even after you finish the book.

Major Language Alert!
Because of the continual use of - what is to me - bad language I cannot recommend this book. I recognize that including such language supposedly makes the book more true to the characters. But Dickens didn't have to do that, did he? The book would not have been less without the f-bombs. In spite of that, I kept reading because the story was good! The author had several plot surprises and it was intriguing enough to keep me interested. Kondazian creatively and realistically filled in the sketchy facts of Charley Parkhurst's life.
