Hitchcock's tongue-in-cheek answer to James Bond.
One of my all-time favourites: a must have for all classic movie buffs.

The film star memoir by which all others should be judged
I read this book many years ago and was keen to find a copy. Put simply it's the first and arguably the best film star personal memoir. By comparison David Niven was the kid invited along for the ride. Some years ago the BBC put out a shock-horror documentary about Flynn that didn't include any revelations that weren't to be found in Flynn's own account. All the same, there's no doubt Flynn was 'mad, bad and dangerous to know.' So... since Byron's publisher, John Murray burned Byron's memoirs after his death, this is a close as you'll get to the unvarnished confessions of a rake who knew everyone and tried everything, in Hollywood's golden age.

First class satire without malice
This is a must have for all art enthusiast. It's both a brilliantly subversive satire and an affectionate celebration, created by someone who really understood art and the creative process.
