Actually works really well.

It looks a bit over the top, but I had a few jobs to do and wanted to speed things up and get a better final job. When it arrived I was a bit underwhelmed, but I decided to give it a go anyway. I cut the main centre bulk of the old silicon out carefully with a stanley knife, then used the metal tool supplied, it was really very good and effective. Did not need the plastic tool. The silcon spreader was excellent used with masking tape a the top and bottom of the line the silicon is to follow to get the neatest finish. Pulled the tape off carefully when silicon was still damp but not too wet (it will drag) or dry (edge will not split away). Top job. I would definately recommend.

Definately recommended especially for the price.

I have only had the battery grip for a few days, but I am very pleased with it. Everything does what I would expect it to. The texture of the finish matches my D810 very well. The buttons are not quite the quality of a Nikon grip, but they are fine. Definately recommended especially for the price. It also works without a battery in which is very useful if you just want it for vertical portrait format shooting and dont need the extra power supply.

Excellent quality / will pay for itself in no time

The bulb is an excellent replacement for a standard or older type low energy bulb. I bought the warm 10w LED version which is a very close match to a standard 60w bulb. Acording to a chart I have read online 6w LED = 40w standard bulb, 10w LED = 60w standard bulb and I have found this to be the case. The warm version is the closest to an old standard bulb. The LED bulbs have a very low running cost.
