Blagdon Quality Solar Powered Air Pump for Small Ponds
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my third solar powered air pump I've bought for a small wildlife pond over the last four years. This is by far the best of the three. For a small pond it is excellent. It provides intermittent pulses of air: 5 secs on, 12 secs off. On first impression this doesn't seem enough air, but it keeps the aeration going for longer, and being a water scientist I checked the dissolved oxygen content in the pond using a dissolved oxygen meter, and the levels of dissolved oxygen were high.
The air pump has a replaceable air filter and a replaceable rechargeable battery. The small sponge air filter is critical for the longevity of the pump. So it is not completely fit and forget, but this is a good feature.
The instructions do recommend that the pump is brought indoors over winter. However, after feeding the cable to the small solar panel through some conduit under a flower border, this isn't going to happen. However, I have ensured that the pump is well protected from the elements.
So far, I am very happy with the performance of the pump. No it isn't going to work on dull days, but it works for longer compared with other pumps I have had, and is much better quality.

Excellent Aerobics Stepper
Simple two level stepper. I needed two to get on my static bike following hip surgery. They were perfect. As my hip has got better I have used them as an stepper as well. I would recommend this product.
