The manual with this item claims that the base is cast iron. It's too light. More likely aluminium or some alloy, so it will need bolting down to be used safely. Otherwise as long as all handle bolts are fully tightened it will be better at drilling vertical holes than having no drill stand at all. At the price I paid (discount plus voucher applied) it seems a reasonable purchase.

Small with reasonable set of features
It works on NiCads and Li-ion cells. Have only tried with single cells so far, so no comment on multi-cell battery charging.
Manual really needs bigger text, and slightly better explanation of functions. Other than that a good product.

Does the job well, with a little help
1 of 1 found this helpful Some people have said there's not enough polishing cream to do 2 head lamps.
Use some 800, 1500, and 2500 grit wet n dry paper first, and there's plenty of the the polishing cream left over after 2 head lamp shells were brought back to life.
Does it bring them back to 'good as new'? Probably not but it's close enough. You'll see a difference in beam brightness and you won't be risking an MOT failure. And it does cost £165 for new ones :-)
