Many of the photos only depict the outer wings of the butterflies. There is no text or identifiers on each plate. Instead there is a number which refers to the information at the end of the book. This is cumbersome.

You see his developmental thinking in preparation for On The Road in his journal, as well as several pieces reflecting accomplished writing especially Memory Babe and i Wish I Were You.
