Not like they used to make them!
They used to make products like this out of metal, but now most parts are metalised plastic. I suppose it keeps the costs down, but they probably are not as durable. Time will tell. For the price the quality is OK, it does the job and therefore I would recommend.

A bit fiddly to get working, but good support help you to get you there!
I have purchased 2 of these now, both for Toyota cars (a Previa 2006 & Corolla 2005) fitted with a Sony stereo WX-GT90BT. Neither of them worked right first time, but luckily support from the manufacturer & Dynamic Sounds is good and you get quick responses. It does not mention in the instructions that there are dip switches inside the control box, which both were set for a Pioneer stereo. It is easy to open the control box to change the dip switch settings with a small pointed object. For Sony stereos the dip switch 4 must be switched to off. It is also important to connect the different leads in the correct sequence and make sure all connections are good. Connect2 have some good videos on Youtube that help. If after connecting the controller your steering wheel controls are not working the way you think they should then confirm this with Connect2. This happened with me and that is how I found out about the dip switch 4 making a difference when using with a Sony stereo. A good product when you working and hopefully will be reliable. Only 4 stars because of the inconvenience of not working right first time and because the instructions for the controller/universal patch lead do not mention the dip switch settings for the different brands of stereo.

Disappointing! Too gain hungry.
0 of 3 found this helpful I have wanted to own this model of microphone for a long time, as it has good reviews and is used by many professionals. However, I am disappointed. I have found it needs a lot of gain to work, and my Focusrite USB interface 2i4 does not have enough to give a high enough DB recording level, even with gain and record level in my DAW software at maximum. If I amplify the recorded sound in the DAW, +14 DB is required, and the quality is awful. I have ordered a microphone pre amp, which will hopefully fix this problem, but if not the money I spent on that and the microphone will have been wasted :(
On the positive side, the microphone build quality is very good and it is certainly not a lightweight. It comes with 2 foam windshields which is good. Until i get the pre amp I do not know how effective these are for plosives. It is a shame it is not supplied with an XLR cable.
