Bill Evans Getting Sentimental
Fascinating Cd for the Bill Evans enthusiast as it chronicles his playing with Michael Moore and Philly Joe Jones with whom he did not record officially. Not bad sound but unfortunately not at the right pitch (almost a semitone sharp in fact - this could have been sorted out when being mastered). The recordings were made at the Village Vanguard by Mike Harris with his tape recorder and do not sound too bad considering the circumstances. Not one to get before many of the classic official albums but fascinating nonetheless

Fantastic new remastering of great performance
I remember hearing this performance of Das Klagende Lied when it was first broadcast. Great performance and some outstanding singing. Listen to Robert Tear just before the end. Spine-tingling. Great sound and far better than earlier BBC Radio Classics issue which I have compared to this one. Not to be missed.
