Pleasantly surprised, my first Petievich novel. Previously familiar with 'To Live and Die in L.A.' movie.
Better than I expected. Short compelling read. Was hard to put down for long. Elmore Leonard's comment was right on, 'I hope you realize how good Petievich is. He makes it look easy, doesn't overwrite or waste words, or pull any phony tough guy stuff.'

Seems like a very soiid quality rubber mat. Easy to cut to specific size if one wishes.
