OK for the price
1 of 1 found this helpful This scanner works OK but suffers the same issues as other handhelds in this price bracket, namely the need to press multiple buttons in order to set up banks of favourite frequencies. The user manual is comprehensive but shows just how complex the set up can be. In essence, quite straightforward but you do need to concentrate in order to achieve the desired result.
In manual mode, if you know the frequencies that you want to monitor, then the scanner is quite sensitive and picks up transmissions from 50 miles away (in my case Stansted & Heathrow, although not ground to air).
The adapter supplied allows the fitting of a 'proper' aerial, which improves reception significantly.
All in all, for the price paid, not bad.
