The Pacific
1 of 2 found this helpful As as big fan of "Band Of Brothers" I anxiously awaited this series. I was MAJORLY disappointed with this series. While it graphicly displays some of the many hardships & horrors our soldiers suffered in the Pacific, as well as thier heroism, I quickly tired of the 2 or 3 Marines portrayed, their seemingly constant mental problems, romanctic problems and empty stares. In addition, while I understand the USMC paid with much blood in the Pacific theatre, so did the Navy & Army (my father was a 2x Purple Heart recipient and bronze star recipient for actions in New Guinea & the Phillipines) and the lack of thier representation was a bit disappointing as well. No disrespect meant to the past and current members of the USMC of course!!
