Not fit for purpose

The green light stopped working after 2 days. When I tried to unplug it, the top of the plug came off creating a safety hazard. The top of the plug just clips onto the bottom, no retaining screws. The cable is extremely short which makes it very difficult to use.

Only works on small particles, will not suck up dead plant material.

It worked with new batteries but only to suck up small particles (poo). if you have an aquarium with real plants, it gets clogged up immediately with any dead plant material. It loses suction quite quickly after about one hour's use. The old style that you used to connect to the air pump was infinitely better but I can't find one. This is case of meddling with something which worked well only to produce an inferior product. It is better than nothing and better than having to siphon water.

Too heavy

It is ridiculously top heavy even with the motor at the bottom. Almost impossible to hold horizontally if you have a wide hedge. I had to lay it on top of the hedge and swing it from side to side and you can imagine how hard that it.
