A cornucopia of photographic memories
This volume contains a wide range of historical photographs of Bideford and its occupants. I believe I have located a photograph of my mother's sister receiving a Coronation mug in 1937, and it is remarkable how many of he individuals photographed are identified. There are photographs of many features such as the Bridge Street Methodist Church which was demolished in 1970 and was where my father (who was an evacuee from London) met my mother whose father was a local greengrocer and later Mayor of Bideford. As a child I remember meeting Skipper(W.J.) Slade who may be a relative of the author Pat Slade, but whatever this book brought back many happy memories of childhood days spent in Bideford.

This seems to be a superior product
1 of 1 found this helpful I have used various engine flush compounds in the past. I used this product(Forte) for the first time on a Rover V8 which is notorious for depositing sludge in the sump and was leaking oil. The replacement oil has stayed surprisingly clean and, more surprisingly the leaks appear to have been cured. Whilst this product is more expensive than other engine flushes my limited experience would suggest that it is worth the extra cost and I would recommend it....at least give it a try!

Superficially very effective
Whilst I cannot comment upon the long term efficiency of this product nor define any internal effects until such time as I strip down the engine, Radweld has effectively cured a significant leak in the radiator of my Jaguar X type. The system was losing about a litre every 10 miles (16Km) but has now been watertight for approximately 100 miles since I added Radweld. The efficiency of the cooling system and the heater appears to have been unaffected. This would seem to be a cheap alternative to the onerous task of replacing the radiator or removing it to affect a material repair.
